How do I post a youtube video

in the past I have posted links to youtube videos by coping the link and pasting it in the thread and when i hit "post" the video appears in the forum, not just the link.

Today, I do the same thing and get just the url linked, which is not as cool.

So, how do I post a youtube video so that the video appears in the post?

In Youtube, click on the Share button, then copy the link they give you & paste it into the body of your post here on TMC.

Pretty sure you can just paste the url from youtube also.

I always have to click on the Special BBcode icon and then select media.

I am struggling with this.

I click & copy the 'share' link from youtube, paste it into the body of my reply, but I only get a link - not an embedded video.

Please help, in an INTERNET FOR DUMMIES sort of fashion...

Just copy the url from the top of your browser window. Don't use the youtube share link.

Hasn't worked for a while. Probably because is hard for 3rd party software to keep up when youtube decides to change it's share links.

I just posted a video recently.  Go to the youtube video on youtube (not someone else's link) and then copy the link.  Paste the link here.  If it is going to work you will see the link turn into the embedded box before you submit the post.
