Well..., kind of. That's about as cold as I can handle. We wear wetsuits and it's only cold on the toes. Once the sun came out, it wasn't nearly as bad as the cold foggy dampness we delt with early in the day. post-18930-0-25850500-1421975433_thumb.j

Jealous.

My record is combined 73 degrees. Water was 38F and air was 35F.......and snowing!!!! Was a Santa run on the foils. Crashing REALLY hurt, instant brain freeze.

I actually think that in Nor-Cal this time of year is one of the best times to ride. Very little wind, not a lot of boats out and the afternoon sun ca be pretty intense!

I agree. As long as the sun is out, it's real nice. Water has been flat all day which is never the case on our over populated lakes we have here. Only time we see water like this in the summer is just after sunrise and before sunset. It's nice to have a whole day of flat water conditions. If I could get my kids to enjoy being out in cool temps, it would be perfect. My 9 year old is ready to try but my 6 year old says "heck no!!". My wife rode in the boat with us for her first winter ride yesterday. She looked like she was ready for the other kind of skiing but I think she found that it wasn't so bad. I still think 60 and sun is the sweet spot for me.

You Australians exist simply to make us all jealous in the winter. Thanks for that.

No, not at all. Hopefully it is pulling you through and reminding you that your season is just around the corner.
