quote function doesn't work for me

What am I doing wrong? Clicking the "Quote button takes me to the reply box, but doesn't include the post I am trying to quote.

Doesn't seem to matter if I am on office desktop or home ipad.

I understand there is a function within internet explorer that isn't working out with site...try chrome or firefox.

I had this same problem. I use IE11. The solution was as follows: Hit the quote button, then in the upper left hand corner of the reply box there is a little icon that vaguely looks like a light switch, click that on then go back to the post you want to reply to and hit the quote button again. It should then let you reply and have the comment you are quoting included as well. After I did this one time it seems to work OK there after.
