you are right, I think it was in July. Good thread. You definetly still have "truck fever"

Yes you are right about that. my 2 favorite things are a mustang and a lifted truck. Sucks I have to pick one...

a truck will be nice for moving all my stuff in one trip.

first year of the fox body

1979 cobra with the 2.3L pinto motor with a poorly engineered turbo slapped on.

pretty much this car exactly, sans the weird tatoo on the hood:

Ahhh gotcha! Those were the beginning of the emissions choked era. 2.3 is the displacement of the new ecoboost stangs. Ford racing tuned one and got it in the 11s in the quarter if I remember.

Hey at least I was a cobra! Haha

I love the early 90s fox bodies. They make great drag racing platforms.

While SD was cruzing his stang turbo, I had something close to this, with Texas and Mexican Flags on the front. We were able to carry a 16 gallon keg in the back seat for longer road trips.

This was pretty much when quality was job #47 at Ford. Sadly I still lust after an 86 svo (unfortunately they are pretty much in the junkyard or show cars now):

You just had to go there. I have an early '84 and can't give it away. Not sure how many are left, but it was one of 1200. I daily drove it for 2 years in college and sadly its been sitting ever since. IMG_1564-1.jpg
