Evening Glass

I was driving back from lunch and was thinking about how much better it would be to be at the lake than in the office. The weather is 85 and sunny with low humidity (rare in GA). My boss is gone for the week so I figured since I work from home a lot, that I should not feel guilty about taking off at 3:00PM and heading for the lake. I called my trusty buddy (self employed) and it took 2 seconds to talk him into blowing the rest of the day off.

We were on the water by 5:00PM and stayed until dark. I counted two boats on the lake. Three if you count mine. Needless to say, we just took turns hauling a&^% up and down a big long cove on the glass.

Surface 180's were as smooth as butter. It was so smooth that my buddy was pulling me 32MPH for a short period and all I could hear was the water hissing off the board......

Today was a great day to be a BU owner. If the weather is this good tomorrow, we will most likely go again.

Only 2 of us in the boat. I didn't even think to take the camera anyway. I rode so much tonight that at the end, I could barely hang onto the rope.

Sucks being you, doesn't it? Good for you. Me? Hoping to get the first run of the year this week. Been a cold windy spring with the lake level too low, but should be OK now.

HH you are the man. While I'll never approach the bar you have set, it helps me in making my case for doing everything we can to get out on the water.

If you want to join us this evening we will be in the cove behind Bald Ridge Marina @ Mary Alice park.

I'm breaking in a new board tonight too. Picked it up at lunch.

I was going to pull the Houdini at around 3:30 or so and get out of here until this Einstein in our office suggested a 4:45PM catch up conference call with our out of town boss.

Well, we did it again. On the water at 6:30PM. I could not resize a picture to attach it so I changed my avatar. As you will see in the photo, the water was decent. 74 degrees. I feel very guilty for gettting this kind of early season action.

This was a great testing ground for the new Hyperlite Era. What an amazing board. Rides like a Mercedes.

The game plan for tomorrow is the same. Yahoo.gifYahoo.gifYahoo.gif

And Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Hmm - I see a boat, on a trailer, on land. Doesn't look like good skiing.

My Avatar should show me standing on the platform pointing at the glass.

HH, The water looks great.

I hope to be able to get on the water late saturday after my son gets married.

Anybody that plans a wedding over the Memorial day weekend sould be shot. But then again, I think it's going to be a great day!

I guess the wakeboard/weather gods have sensed my greed in wanting to go for the Trifecta this evening. Knarly looking clouds and humidity out now.......The chores are piling up at the house anyway so it might be better for my marital career to actually go home tonight and get something done......
