07 VTX ballast help

I have an 07 VTX and we have the stock ballast in the back center and front. We also have 250's in the rear compartments. We would like a bigger surf wave and are looking for suggestions. Would 750's in the rear compartments be too much? This is our first wakeboard boat, so trying to be cautious.

750's won't fill all the way. And if they are filled all the way you will not get on plane without extra bow weight. I would run 550 or 600 lb sacks and try to get a 400 lb or 250 lb sack for the walk way. It can work well, but you will have to pay attention as it can be pretty easy to dip the nose. Once you get the hang of it it is pretty simple..

I used to have a 2007 VTXI ran a 750 in the rear corner, 400 in the coffin and triangle sack for the front and I could get on plane with a full boat of people. 320LCR and the 1273 prop. However, we didn't use the floating wedge. The wave was better without it.
