'01 Response LX, Indmar 310 hp v8 phantom warning beep

Recommended Posts

Had a couple instances pulling tubers (sorry!) of low oil pressure threshold going off but has been in normal range since. But now alarm beep stays on with no dashboard registered visual clues per normal for shallow water, oil, etc alerts on screen. I was thinking about replacing oil sensor...

Manuals up at lake so don't have that resource at hand.

I haven't pulled a tube in many years, but I'm sure that low oil pressure would never be the problem....

Check your grounds at the engine and under the dash first, then check the resistance at the sender.

thanks Gary! will do. Yeah, it was a family reunion so had to please the crowd of cousins who aren't skiers. I apologize to my boat everytime I subject her to that..... not to mention all the other smooth water fans who no doubt wish for an RPG to stop the waves. :)

You didn't actually say that you checked your oil level. Start with that....

BTW, I think a lot of manuals are here in the Resources section if you want to look.

Gary, yep, thanks.

Dare, just so you know I have adopted the defense made classic by the Three Stooges, so your eye jabs bother me much less than the actual pulling of the tubers. I actually was hoping for a little sympathy... but I am OK, the rollers have dissipated... the neices/nephews have scattered back across the country and I have more smooth water than I can ski

I just had this issue with mine, a new sending unit from NAPA solved it.

I was able to measure the voltage on the sending unit while it was happening. It was fluctuating al over the place.
