The video does it way better justice. I have no idea how to post it besides Facebook. So if someone can PM me a email address or iPhone # I will send it to you and you can post it for everyone to see I would be very thankful.

This is it on Facebook.

Looks pretty dang cool! I don't know anything about these did he have to drill the swim step? I had a really good idea but it required drilling the swimstep.

One more thing I know he is looking into getting a machine shop to CNC all the part and at that point I'm sure the cost will go up. So if you are looking for the lower cost one. I would put in a order sooner than later. At some point the cost has to go up the thing works great and just saved me 40k on upgrading to a 13 or 14 model boat.

No, it just slides into place tighten the strap first then the metal piece hand tight and your done. Tried to make it so you could see this in the pics if you need another pic let me know?

Few things I did see I had 100% no problem getting on plain at 11.2mph with the 1235 prop and the rpms ran right at 3000-3100rpms

I plan to go out later this week and will be putting another 400lb toward the front to see if I can make it even longer will take a few pics of sack placement and me sure just how long the wave is.

I made a similar gate that I tried on the weekend. The wave was better than when I didn't use the gate but still lacked the push I hoped for. I used a similar ballast weight as you but have 750# sacks in the rear and only filled the surf side all the way and non about half to list the boat. I've read this helps even with the gate but maybe only on the newer hulls and will try filling both 750's next time. I'm still using the stock prop and wondering if that is limiting my progress as well. I'm trying to decide if I should go OJ532 or Acme 1235.

Great wright-up and pics!

Is there a cusion or pad in place that is protecting the transom from scratches? If so, did you add that or was it standard?

Nothing, no scratches but only been out once its made out of hard plastic I would think it would be what would scratch.

Thanks.

What is in the side profile shots that look like screws almost holding on something on the transom side of the gate?

Sorry not sure what. Quote the first post and delete all but the pic you are talking about.

Looks to me like he slices some clear tubing and attaches it to the gate to butt up against the transom bicbw.

Yes, That is what that is simple and works and cheep to change out if I ever need to.
