My question is: Where is the drain pump for the center ballast tank? I have searched this forum and have read many threads on the topic but still cannot find this pump on my boat. So, I apologize in advance for repeating this....Thanks!!

I have an 05 VLX.. mine is under the hatch that is to the left of the drivers seat. The fill and drain for the center tank are there. The third pump is the fill for my bow tank.

Your bilge pump is likely in the engine compartment at the very back. The two pumps in the mid-hatch are the tank fill & drain pumps. If you're able to post a picture of what's there, that will get you a definite answer.

Here is a photo (if the link works): https://twitter.com/wcalem

The white/blue pump is the fill and I thought the yellow was the bilge (which does not work either so maybe it is the drain pump).

one of those pumps should have a hose connected at the bottom edge of that ballast tank.. that should be your drain pump

On my 07 vRide, the drain pump is mounted directly to the bottom of the tank when you look in the hatch. The fill pump is not visible. The bilge pump is right next to it in the center hatch and looks different than the yellow and black one you have there. The ballast pump looks the same as the white and blue one you show.

Hi guys, i got a 06 Malibu V-ride and im having problems with my center ballast fill pump. The centre drain pump which is located in the hatch works fine but when I press the fill pump the light turns red for a bit and the braker jumps. Anyone know what causes this?

Also where is the center ballast pump located?

Thanks

Matt

I had the same issue and my pump went out. I went ahead and replaced with a 1200 GPH pump. Located in middle compartment by the center drain plug next to driver seat. Left one is fill, and the right one is drain mounted on bottom of tank.

THanks,
Dk
