F150 Eco boost towing question?

I will be watching the new aluminum EBs very closely. Seems like they have ironed out most of the EB issues. Interested to see how the dropped weight translates to towing capacity with Ford finally complies to the new SAE towing standards.

However... IMO.....

Will be hard.... Very hard to beat a Cummins Tundra/Titan here shortly. Est 25mpg+. I don't see the Dodge Fiat diesel as a serious tow truck for 7-10k loads.

+1.

I think the Cummins Tundra/Titan will be on my super short list. 1/2 ton ride quality, 500+ pound feet of torque, great mileage, durability of cummins, and fit and finish of Toyota/Nissan. I drove the Fiat powered Dodge and was not impressed. Cab and ride was nice, but the engine was anemic when accelerating.

^^^^ now with all that being said.... I think the soon to come insane high prices of the new decently equipped aluminum EB F150s, and 1/2t Cummins Titan/Tundras... are going to make the 3/4T 6.7 Dodge Cummins look even more attractive. Its gonna be hard to pay more for a "super" 1/2t than just the tried and true 3/4tons. Gonna be neat to see how things play out over the next 3-4years in the 7-10k towing catgeories.

I will be very interested in the new cummins Tundra when they come out. I love my 2010 Tundra and will have it all paid off this time next year. Potential to just continue those payments!

My brothers new Expedition Eco. is built but sitting down at the plant. I don't think the release date is up yet. The sticker is showing 2 mpg better then the V-8. should have some data soon. I can't what to take it for a drive. I am going to sit down in the next day or two and look at the pricing for a new one. Also have a chance to get this years with under 2,000 miles used so just going to look at pricing.

The wife wants the Expedition more then me. I do miss my old ones.
