Illusion X Board Rack Mounting Locations

Recommended Posts

Kojak

How close are the upper and lower mounting locations on an Illusion X tower? From what I've have been able to determine, they appear to be fairly close.

If a board is in the lower slot of the upper rack, do the bindings hit the lower rack?

Looking to get the Samson Typhoons with the upper rack having the "extreme" or 25 degree angle and the lower rack having the "medium" or 15 degree angle. I was hoping that a board in the upper position would not hit the lower rack.

I would get the lower racks as "straight" if possible. They are really close and I have to turn my bottom rack upside down.

I agree with t a. We have straight racks on the lower and angled racks on the upper. The bindings do interfere but you can squeeze them in there if needed.

I have straight racks on the bottom. Do I need the "medium" or "extreme" angle for the tops?

What's weird is, on Samson's own website, they don't even have that choice. They just have upper and lower mount options. Wonder why it's different on Bake's site?

Most likely you'll want "extreme" for the upper mounting locations.  That's what I have.  I tried the medium angle and the mounts will interfere with each other when rotating them in.
