Looking for TOWER 2005 Response LXI

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I am looking for a sturdy, reliable, and best looking collapsible tower for my 2005 Response LXI. Will the Illusion tower get his while slaloming?

I do love the look of a gen1 LXi without a tower but the XTP (I think) is IMO the best looking tower for any Response. A Titan III would be a close second, but probably much harder to come by. The G3 looks pretty sweet too if you have it mounted all the way forward. Wouldn't interfere with skiers until very short line.

Here is an example of the XTP, on a gen2 LXi, but still get the gist of it: http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=39523

Also, Peter at Smooth Water Sports was kind enough to put together a comparison between height differences of the XTP and G3 here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.569012276501026.1073741848.138858949516363&type=3. These at TXi's but I would imagine would be very similar to the LXi.

Good luck!

All of this.

Guess I'm just biased to the elusive Titan T3, as I'm still looking for mine!! Lol... As my second choice is the G3 then XTP.

Had to add m2cw

Only reason I agree with the XTP over the T3 (DL6 to be perfect--6" shorter) is because of what you're going through trying to find one. Hopefully you could still order one. May want to check because the first gen RLXi XTP mounted differently at the back, on the side instead of up on top.

After all these years I'd own either if I could afford one.

Yup, still on the hunt for the T3....lol in speeking with my dealer he informed me

that Malibu has come out with a stright tow hoop option for the G3, eliminating the arch

may infact give me the clearance I need for my 7' garage opening. We'll see, still love

the look of the T3, it just fits the lines of the Response.

I'm a big fan of my Titan 3. My buddy has a new Response TXI with G3 and that looks sweet as well. But prefer T3 on the somewhat rounder looks of the first gen Response LXI...

Sorry Dare, T3 not for sale... neither the Malibu attached to it...

We live and ski in South-East of The Netherlands, approx an hour from the German MidSouth-West border (say.. Dusseldorf) . So if you're in the area and want a pull, let me know.

I'm looking for the boat you have and am not really interested in a tower. Considering that, I've come across a few with towers and the best looking ones, IMO, are the T3 and XTP. I'm not a fan of the G3 on an RLXI. JMHO.

A fully loaded G3 with the works your looking at around 11K. Twr, 4 cans and amp, 4 spinner racks, bimini, mirror bracket, mirror

You should get a white G3 or a color similar to your pearl metal flake.

The XTP tower was originally designed for footing on the 2005 RLXI. If it matched the lines of a Bayliner that well I'd put one that boat to. I've had no problems with mine for past 9 years and the newer versions are made better.

I still think its the best looking tower for the RLXI and the small Titan next.

Keep in mind the company died for a reason..... and you don't want any part of that. You could possibly get past the issues by buying the redesigned version from XTP or Moomba.

Also, for a slalom skier, the Illusion is like a foot further back, possible interference for the rope.

To me, the XTP looks like what I put on my Bayliner.

Personally this is what I'd be going for on an LXI. I like the G3 but its a bit bulky for a response
