Question on tower speaker setup

Just got myself a different boat and it comes with a pair of wetsounds pro-60. I still have 2 pairs of exile sxt65 from the old boat that are now sitting in my basement.

Is it worth it to install the exiles either in addition to the pro-60 (is mixing brand a no-no?) or replace the pro-60? Or should I just sell all of them and get myself a pair of rev-8?

What is the tower do you need new mounts. Mixing brands can you take the jokes. If you want bigger. Sell all and go bigger but Rev10s. GO BIG OR GO HOME

Need more info: what tower youve got and if quality or projection to 70' is your goal. The SXT's will sound better than the 60's, I've had both. If it was my boat, I'd pull the 60's down and put both pair of sxt's up.

+1. IMO the pro60 is about the worst sounding tower speaker I have ever heard.

Thanks guys. Sounds like the pro-60 is going away in favor of the SXTs. The new boat is a 2013 MB F21 Tomcat (I know, this is a Malibu forum but seems like the only forum with a stereo section and my previous boat was an 02 VLX). The tower is a G3 look alike and since my SXTs are the older non swivel model, i have to mount it overhead instead of the side. The angle might not be very optimal with the outer speakers slightly angled in and i'm not sure how much head room I might loose (see pic).

Oh well, I'll give it a shot first and if it does not work, I guess there will be 2 pairs of SXT65 for sale.

By the way, my intention is just to have good sound while surfing. I don't wakeboard so the capability to hear the music loud and clear while 70' behind is not a priority. In addition, I bet my wife would not tolerate that.
