Aluminum Swim Platform ? why not

Recommended Posts

LS-One

Had to go to Modesto this morning so I stopped by Proflight Towers to say hi to my friends Steve and Linda. They showed me their first prototype aluminum swim platforn, pretty cool, it had a rubber surface similar to Malibu it was powder coated and in the middle it had a cutout for a drip mold this particular one had a Centurion emblem in it. These are going to be an option on new Centurions and they soon have plans to market to all boat owners. I don't know how well they hold up but they look nice and I just thought I would share it with the Crew. Thumbup.gif

Alum... sounds comfy

I saw some at the boat show (not sure if the ones you saw, don't think they had rubber mats - just powdercoated alum) - think I'll stick with teak.

Don't think it would be a good thing around salt water or even brackish. Another possible option for fresh water though.

How solid was it? I am curious as to how they support it to take the flex out of it.

Also Mark, had I known you were in town I would of bought you lunch!

Aluminum : Yuk.gif that could be even more of a maintenance challenge.
