Amp mounting; back of bow seat

As has happen to many of us; my port side amp board behind the observes seat is full and I have yet another amp to install. Apparently many of you have installed this additional amp on the back side of the seat wall all the way to the back of the observes seat storage area. Specifically, I've seen post with pics of CedarLakeSkier, Wakesetter67, Cowwboy and Kikitlo boats with amps mounted in this location.

What I can find is specific on mounting ot this location. Can i just mount directly? I'd assume I'd have to worry about screw tips poking through the back of the seat? Do I need to remove the interior in the bow area and put a nut on the back of a bolt?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Still use another smaller and matching amplifer mounting panel on that forward wall. The panel will create a bridge between a flat amplifier chassis and potentially curved boat mounting surface. And, you can put multiple screws into the mold/bow surface more towards the center of the amplifier panel. The amplifier mounting hardware will just go into the amp panel and not through to the boat structure. The panel is independently mounted to the boat. The over-sized amplifier panel also gives you added surface area to secure and strain relieve the cables without turning the boat into swiss cheese. Pre-drill pass-throughs in the amplifier panel and pre-drill pilot holes in the fiberglass with a drill bit 'stop' to control the depth. Easy does it on the screw depth even though there is a thick HDPE backing behind the bow cushion. Just stay well within the confines of the cushion. You can also extend the amplifier panel down to the sole and secure the bottom of the panel to the sole with a couple of aluminum 'L' brackets. This will give you additional surface for perhaps an AC shore charger or future expansion.

Use smaller Class D amplifiers and have all the real estate you need.
