Looking to get pointed in the right direction... My stereo has quit putting out sound, u can see the eq moving and there's power to the stereo....

It has 2 amps, a sub woofer, and some small box not sure what it is. Is there something that would kill the sound to all the speakers

Need more information.

What year boat?

Do the amps turn on? Usually they have a light somewhere that should turn on. Since you have 2 amps and neither of them are working, my money is on the turn on wire to the amps. There is a lead from your head unit or EQ that tells the amps when to turn on. If that wire has been disrupted, then your amps won't come on, and you will have no sound.

Fred,

As mentioned above, see if a primary supply connector feeding the amplifiers (power or ground) is lose or the circuit breaker for the collective amplifiers is tripped open.

From there you have to determine how far down the signal path you have audio. You can do this by checking AC voltage on any RCA or other output with a multimeter or use a battery powered test speaker from Radio Shack.

Hey guys thanks for the suggestions, the boat is a 2001 response lx, it is in my garage in storage, we have a blizzard warning in effect right now. I want to start playing with it now so it's ready for spring. I am gonna look at the things you suggested and get back to with the results
