Subatomic filter jl13w6 ported

You are at half power at 34 Hz and below that the bass-reflex roll-off is steep so I would use the 30 Hz subsonic filter. There really isn't material below that frequency. 15 Hz is really low and could be for the softer natural roll-off of sealed or for the guy who is recording files off his turntable.

30 Hz all the way. What your doing with a Subsonic (I like your subatomic name better) filter is trying to knock out the material below your port tuning frequency. If your amp is selectable, as is your case then its an easy decision-- get as close to your port tune as possible. If your variable, you have a lot more control and I'd recommend using a freq sweep app to establish where your box port tuning is and then adjust from there.

Awesome thanks!! I was doing this like 30 minutes before meeting a crew for wakeboarding. I actually got on the phone to JL tech support and only waited less than a minute to talk to someone who also said 30 Hz.

Thanks again.

I am very happy with the ported 13w7 with 600w alpine PDF Amp under dash and facing towards cabin. Carpeted the whole box and looks awesome.
