I'm seeing this around alot of boats I'm looking at, my question is, can it be removed easily or was this an option built into the tower?

I think it is one of those blade carbon fibre towers. They were available as a factory option for a few years I believe. I heard they were crap but they look cool. I may be wrong

It's built in to the tower if I remember correctly and according to my dealer those were a nightmare on repairs. Not sure what that meant but he chuckled when I asked about them one time.

Vettesetters correct they were offered for a little bit, and made by a separate company.

That is the shape of the tower, it cannot be removed. I've only seen a few in person and believe only one was actually carbon fiber that I saw, the rest looked cast.

Might not be so bad if you put some of 6 x 9 wetsounds in there... Still not a fan though...

Yeah true, but the issues for me are the lack of available addons for racks, and we usually roll with 2/3 wakesurf boards and 3/4 wakeboards.
