Ballast suggestions for a 2003 23lsv

Ive been riding the stock wake on my 2003 23lsv for a while now. Recently ive started riding quite a bit faster and the wake is rather small and seems pretty mellow.... Although my center ballast does not work. The ballast will be used 90% for wakeboarding and the other 10% for surfing. I just want to be able to surf without the rope (i think the wake is too small now) don't need a huge surf wake.

So im wandering if anybody know what the stock MLS ballast set up is in the boat and any tips for a bigger wake. Or what anybody else is running in a similar year 23lsv.

Ive been thinking about a V-drive sack in each rear locker (#400 a piece) and 1 bow triangle up in the bow (#1000)

Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I would go bigger than that for the rear lockers. Remember, you don't have to fully fill them, but if you are spending the money you might as well get onces that fully fill the locker. Just take a measurement and find one that is close.

As for the front, if you aren't running any front now and it is okay, you may want to just get an under-seat bag (will get you around 300lbs) and fix your ski locker bag. This way you can have all hidden ballast, which is a big plus.

Where are you located? I've got a set of the factory MLS rear tanks (all of the 'bu above-the-floor tanks are 250s if memory serves) in my storage unit gathering dust that I'd really like to be free of.....

Ok. Thank you so much. I will look into getting larger bags. Yea i really don't want the look of bags laying all around my boat. Although the bow is one place i would be okay with it at because people rarely sit up there. I am located in Houston, texas.

Do you have the stock hard tanks?

I have the same boat. for wakesurfing this is what we have done.

We took out the stock hard tanks and put in 1100lbs bags in the locker, 370lbs (tube sacs) under the side seats, and 400lbs in the bow. Amazing surf wake.
