Stupid question about 2005 vlx

So we've had our 2005 wakesetter for 3 years now, and the previous owners upgraded the stereo. Subs, speakers, amps, and it has an alpine faceplate. Now my question is did these boats come with ipod hook up anywhere? I have looked everywhere but I refuse to believe that the previous owners spent so much on stereo upgrades without putting in an ipod hookup. Its not in the faceplate, but the faceplate does have an aux option, where is it??

What model Alpine head-unit is it? Many have USB and a dedicated Ipod cable, which can be converted to a 3.5MM headphone jack. Theres a good chance there is an AUX, but its not wired to a receptacle on the dash.

I meant to write down the model before I put it in storage ill have to drop by and check, it does not have a usb port or cable insert on the actual face though.
