Accepted best piggy back solution for 2011 VTX

Recommended Posts

TimD

Hey all,

Got my VTX last July and spent many hours learning to maximize and tweak wakes. I did lots of searching and reading on this forum and it helped a ton. I added a 750 in the rear port locker last summer and added a power wedge this winter (mine came with manual, floating wedge). I want to plumb in the rear locker sack this spring but really don't want to drill holes in my hull. Is there one piggy back option that has become the standard, that works best, fills faster, etc. . I know from reading here that there a couple of options but wanted to throw this out to the crew before placing orders and making mods in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks,

T

I installed the solution from bakes on my 2010 VTX. It works great and was easy to install.

Option two, reversible pump mounted underneath the engine. there's a third drain plug directly under the oil pan. That's where I have one of my pumps mounted. no extra drilling required
