Eci Barefoot Boom Installation

Recommended Posts

live4h2o

Question, we recently purchased an ECI Barefoot Boom for our Malibu Response Lxi. How do I install the mounting clamp onto the pylon? It will not slide over the top. Do I need to remove the rope mount? Or remove the pylon and slide it up from the bottom?

Hmm, haven't seen the eci. My mount is in two pieces that bolt together as the two pieces are placed onto the pole.

Let us know,

Steve B.

doesn't the ECI act like a clamp? No tools needed....you pull the cotter pin, open the arm, which spreads the opening wider for install. Should shimmy down over the pylon w/ minimal effort (mine does). Turning the large screw that attaches to the arm will adjust the tension.

This picture may help....

you may need to unhook the bolt at the end of the handle and gently open the clamp a bit to get it over the top of the pylon. I use one on my RLXi w/o issue.

* I got it figured out, I did have to pry the clamp open a bit, more than I anticipated but it is a nice snug fit once it's on. Now can anyone help get the ice off the lake so I can use it!
