2006 wakesetter ballast max weight?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and gals,

looking to purchase a 2006 wakesetter in next few months and want to find one with the max ballast system that was available for that year. I know in 2006 u could get 2 rears a mid and a bow ballast but does anyone know if there was different size capacities for those tanks. Or is it that if it has the all 4 that thats full loaded for the ballasts????

4 in boat and the wedge

I run full ballast plus two 750 s in the rear lockers and 1000 bow

3 people in boat

24 mph at 80 ft

To clarify, you should be looking for a boat with 4 stock tanks below the floor. If you're getting a true Wakesetter, it will have standard mid and 2 rear tanks below the floor, but the bow ballast is an option. The Power wedge was also optional in that year.

The 750s and 1000 that "My Malibu" is talking about are aftermarket sacks that can be easily added to any boat.

06 is a great year. Look for a Monsoon engine. They are bullet proof.

I got an 06 247 without the bow ballast (have no idea what the previous owner was thinking when he ordered it), but it is not that hard of an option to add. You should be able to beat the buyer down a bit if it does not have front ballast.

To more directly answer your question, the tanks are always the same size.
