Winterizing ballast pumps

Can someone please share how to winterize the ballast system in a 2006 malibu v ride? Thank you

Run them till they're dry. If it makes you feel better, you can run them dry then back fill with a funnel and hose with RV antifreeze.

Little extra insurance. All my drain pumps are at the back of the tanks. I park on the steepest hill in town 12-14% grade and run the pumps on my last trip home for the season. I usually get about 5 gallons out of the rear tanks and 15-20 gallons out of the center and front tank. At least I know when parked level over the winter the water level of any residual is below the pumps.

That's a pretty good idea. Most of the launch ramps around here are pretty steep, so I'll just do that right after I pull the boat out of the water.

I always hit all drain pumps while moving up the ramp. No need to haul water home!
