VTX 750# Ballast Question

Hey All -

I've read many posts where it seems that the 750 in the stern locker is the accepted answer for the VTX. My question is which 750 fits best back there. Most I've seen online are 60" long and that doesn't fit in the stern locker very well.

Thanks,

T

my boat says do not add over 75lbs to the locker? What if you do? Why is this the #. is it weak in that area? I stand in the area & it does not callapse.

Fill your hard tanks first and it should be no problem. There are lots of people running 1000 pd sacks in that compartment. The only thing you may have to do is reinforce the divider between the engine and the compartment. I just plumbed in my 750's on top of the tanks using the stock ballast system yesterday. It seems to work without much issues.

My '08's got the warning..wifey noticed it as we drained the fly-high & 750! She tried to say it was probably there for a reason? Fill hard tank first (as above) 3 years haven't had an issue
