Humming sound from wedge?

The last couple times I went out I noticed a humming sound comming from the engine compartment when I decelerate after a rider falls. I found out that it only does it with the wedge down. I dont remember it being there before and it might be my imagination but it seems to be getting louder. Any ideas on what it could be?

What year is your boat. I know the newer boats have the autoset wedge that will move on it's own to make it easier to get on plane. I wonder if you're hearing the wedge move.

Yours should have the auto set wedge. It might just be moving while changing speeds. Does the sound remain or does it eventually go away?
