Hey crew, need some info. I have the 1100 surf sack in my 05 vlx. i already have the panel braced but it keeps skipping the track even with the braces reaching all the way down. I was trying to screw in another piece of angle behind there to brace the track but i used too short of screws and they pulled out under weight. think i realistically only got 4 or so treads in the floor holding. i was wondering how far from the engine compartment the under floor tanks are. i don't want to hit them obviously and would like to use some longer screws for maximum hold.

Where your screwing down in the floor is over the stringer. use 1 1/2" screws. I had the same issue and went with 1x1 aluminum L metal. I used it to replace the track and have not had the issue sence then.
