PerfectPass Stargazer Speedo

Recommended Posts

I just purchased a PerfectPass PrecisionStar GPS speedo to replace one of my airguide pick-up speedos on my 94 Echelon LX. Since I am now dealing with wires, were can I make my connections on my dash? I need a red wire connection for continuous power, purple for a keyed source power and black ground connections. Anybody know the best places to make these connections without trying to go all the way to the battery? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The red continuous power wire should be available on the fuse box on the tunnel. If your boat doesn't have a fuse box, the ignition switch has a +12V wire (just be sure to fuse it before your PP module). The switchable wire (ignition) should be (if I recall correctly) the purple striped wire on the ignition switch. You can probably snag a ground off the back of one of the existing gauges.

thanks for the info, jammed my big body( 6'3", 220lbs! ) under the dash and found the connections. Also, attached to the tach. ground post, went out Sunday, everything worked fine. Thanks again for the help!
