Tower Navigation Light

Last weekend was the first chance I had to take our boat out for an evening cruise. I turned on the nav lights and put the rear pole into position. This made me think about the difficulty in adding a tower light that is fixed to the tower. I saw this posted in another thread on a similar topic(http://menacewatersports.com/shop-v1.0/viewitem.php?groupid=2&productid=35) and was curious as to how hard this is to wire, where is the placement on the tower, and what does one of these cost.

The All around light from Star One (the one from the link you posted) is specific for Series I, II, and III towers. but its simple to wire (2 wires), and the mounting plate has just one bolt. Call Star ONe (916)858-1178 for a price

The All Around light sold by Star One is definitely the cleanest install for your tower.

Monsteralso makes one, a bit less expensive, not quite the same quality, but it will fold down if needed.

A couple of us made some nav lights out of aportable nav light like this , and a piece of sewer pipe. No doubt it sounds hillbillyish, but it works really well, especially considering I only get out at night about 5 - 10 time a year at most. No wires to run, cost me about $30, no lights to hit the garage door (my tower knob barely clears the door), and it's USCG approved.

Should be fairly easy.

My boat like yours originally came with a light on pole for rear. When the previous owner got a new illusion X tower with a light on the tower, it was coverted, and powered up there.

Wiring should be faily simple.

if you have a Series I, II, or III you just remove the tow spool, put the mounting plate down, fit the tow spool on top and screw the bolt thru the plate and into the tow spool

yea I have a titan II. here's a shot of the boat. DSC05862.jpg That sounds like a super easy installation. i'm just worried about running the electric and making it look nice.
