Water in Bilge

I have now had my new to me 2006 Malibu vRide out on the lake 4 times each of the times I have noticed a some water in the area where the middle plug goes. The amount of water is probably equivalent to two or three full cups of water. My questions are is this normally, where would it be coming from and does this area connect with the rear bilge area (where the bilge pump is)? Thanks in advance for your guys' help.

It's normal, It may be coming from the shaft packing nut, people geting into the boat from the water, wet life jackets or gear, maybe a small leak. And yes, it is connected to the rear bildge area.

When the bow of the boat rises up, a all the water will flow to the back and get pumped out by the bildge pump.

Yea it is normal. Don't really need to do anything until it gets to the point that the bilge pump is running multiple times a day. You can adjust it if you want. you will need two spanner wrenches (1 7/8 i think). There is a whole thread on here somewhere.

I wish I only had that much. I'm declaring war on my leaks. I re-siliconed the swim platform mounts last night, silicones around the rear plug, and removed the old speedo pickups and fiberglassed and gel coated over them. I adjusted both rudder and drive shaft packing nuts last time I was out. Hopefully I'll have a drier bilge next time I go out.

Or somebody peed. What color is the water? :tomato:

Your bilge pump shoud be right in the inspection hatch to the left of the driver. How many times in a day (6-8 hour outing) does the bilge run? Many possibilities but the most obvious is the drip rate of your shaft packing, do a search on recent posts on how to adjust this of it's happens to be your problem.
