Strut Bearing Size

Recommended Posts

Just confirming that the proper strut bearing size on 1995 Echelon is 1 1/8" x 1 3/8". Skidim only carries Vesconite in this size and I want to stick with the brass and rubber. Plus, BakesOnline is off line for now.

Definitely 1 1/8" shaft (ID size). Use calipers or a micrometer to measure OD of the bearing by measuring the ID of the strut bore.

Just replaced mine on my 98 response and used the vesconite. smooth as silk and is supposed to outlast rubber

How was the play in the shaft at the strut with the vesconite. Was it snug.

Before installing they were a little sloppy on the shaft but after they are installed they are tighter and there is no play at all. The shaft turns much easier than before when turned by hand.
