de-winterizing

TexasMalibu

Recommended Posts

I got my boat back from the dealer and it had the bag with bolts on the steering wheel. I'm trying to put it back together so I can take it out today. However, I can't find where the drain plugs go. And, I can only find where 2 of 3 hoses go. Can somebody help here? Maybe, post some pictures or an article? My owners guide doesn't help. 2006 v-ride

Thanks!

Drain plugs go into the block, one on each side just above the oil pan line. In the right side of the motor, looking at the back of the boat the " plug" should be the knock sensor. Plug the wire into it after it is in.

For the hoses, discribe the one that is left...

Calling Pete....where's the winterization manual? Note Pete, I didn't say "your" manual. :)

Note, if you have the LCR motor (and lots of Vrides do), there is no knock sensor. Just two brass plugs, one on either side of the block.

I'm waiting for the pic.

And, thanks for the disclaimer.
