RejeX and CorrosionX

Recommended Posts

Tks jrz1 !

Looks like these two items should be added to our basic Bu gear arsenal - highly rated by these guys & Practical Sailor, among others, for our boat finish and metals respectively. Both products were developed for mil spec apps - Air Force & Navy!

Guess I'll bite the bullet & use RejeX on my new Bu for shine & gel protection - have been stressing over which of the many available products to start with but concerned w/ wax build up & yellowing on white & black areas.

... and the CorrosionX sounds like what I was looking for to protect all the metals on the trailer!

Am liking the deep shine the RejeX provides that even water won't stick to!

... only downside for our older Bu's appears to be that highly oxidized surfaces need to be restored before using - but would need to do that before waxing as well.

Anyone else using/have any advice/experience with these items???

I've been using RejeX for the past 4 years, very pleased with the results. Nice shine and helps with the marine growth when I'm moored for a few weeks, cleaning the hull is easer.

I tried the CorrosionX and its also a fine product, just not sure how much better it is then WD40.

Much better then WD40 as it will "creep" into the crevices and spread out. Something with the surfactant and bla bla properties. My old AP airplane mechanic used to swear by the stuff.

... another similar product to CorrosionX is FluidFilm - works great to keep our Seadoo engines/compartments's battery terminals/ metal/electronics clean and corrosin-free. A lot of the Doo drivers swear by it. Actually displaces water and works it way into metal contact to protect connections and expel water/moisture. Goes on kinda thick tho - gonna give CorrosionX a try - sounds very similar to FluidFilm.

Let me know what you think when you try it. Put it on both sides of your windshield too! It acts like Rain-x. Can cover all stainless etc. - anything non-porous (sp?).
