Fault Code Help

Does anyone know what the following fault code is: SPN 65581 CM 8 "bad Inettigent Device or Comp FM1 12 OC 5? This is the second time it has come up active after clearing out about a week ago. 2008 wakesetter 23 LSV.

Chris,

That code is generally related to a quick key-off-on cycle. When you turn the key switch off the ECM (Computer) needs a little time to write info back to its memory. If the key is turned back on before the ECM has finished its process it sets this MHC (Main Health Code Co-processor) failure code. To avoid this make sure to leave the key off for 3-5 seconds before turning it back on. It should go away after the next clean off-on cycle or at least be moved to the "prevoiusly active" list where it will stay till the ECM deletes it.
