I need to add a pop-up cleat to the front of the bow (right behind the light) but I cannot figure out how to remove the seat-back padding to get into the area to work. There is a piece that wraps around (about 6" tall_ and then a filler piece that wraps part way around to the sides.

Anyone done this or have info on how the padding is attached?

Boat is a 2008 Sunscape.

Totally different boat but I recently installed some bow rails and it would have been nice to remove that front pad. I removed (2) 2" screws on the sides and it would wobble just slightly. I found a nut all the way around on the complete center of the cushion. I would bet that the pad has a threaded stud mounted on it. I decided it wasn't worth it and figured out another way. YMMV.
