so, as far as i've been able to gather, i don't need the entire unit, i don't think. the 5-pin connector won't keep a connection. if i hold the 5-pin withmy hand under the dash when i drive, all of the gauges work perfectly, but as soon as i let go, kaput! gone. this leads me to believe i don't need the whole assembly, but if the prongs inside the unit are bent, i guess i'm SOL and have to shell-out the cash for the entire box.

long story short, where can i get that 5-pin connector? i'm going to call medallion in the morning, but i'd like to buy this part if i can tonight just for the helluvit.

There is one on E-bay right now for $50, it ends in 22 hours act quick!

You might be able to solve your problem by removing the board and re-soldering the pin connections. Many times its simply a bad solder joint on the board.
