pulling during break in???

Recommended Posts

Going to finish 2nd hour where manuel says upto 3000 rpm,

now next 4-5 hours its say under 4000 rpm but no wedge-no ballast and to change rpms up-down..

during these hours ..can you pull a wakeboarder ..or should there be no riding during these hours..

even if its someone just riding at different speeds ..as its boring just driving around 4 hours ..........

and since my knee injury just to get pulled while running in engine and my knee at same time will do us both good

:)

The factory is pretty adamant about not pulling anybody until you have your break-in service done. I have the Malibu dealership here in Washington and my rep made sure we all knew this rule.

i wasnt aware the break in service needed to be done before pulling, ok about the first 1 hour under 2000rpm,2nd hour under 3000rpm and next 4 hours under 4000rpm, and first service between 10-20 hours,,,,thought you could ride a couple hours beore oil and filter change

This topic has been talked about before. I didn't follow the break in procedure and the engine has 190 hrs and doesn't burn a drop of oil, leak down test is perfect and the compression is within 5% of each cylinder. What you don't want to do is keep it at the same rpm's for a long period of time, throttling into it from deep starts helps move the rings around initially. I wouldn't worry about pulling anyone at this point!
