Winterizing

Recommended Posts

Have you looked at the Resources/DIY forum?

Yes. I found the winterization modification forum, but not the orginal winterizing.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr,

I'm having problems with this free "4 shared" site. They took down everything I had on it because I hadn't logged in for 30 days (or, something stupid like that)

Anyways,

Temporarily, you can download the winterization guide that I did not write here...winterization guide.

Maybe we should have a rule that anyone with over 600 rep points is required to have a “winterization guide” link attached to all their posts.

Honestly,

The winterization guide is a thorn in my side.

edit, I used to have it hyper linked in my sig. but, space constraints keeps it off. Oh, and the 4 shared site.

Not trying to poach, but I've uploaded the doc to my google docs account which I think makes it somewhat easier to share. This is a very important resource.

Lemme know if that works.

Works for me, Shawn. But I think you have to have a Gmail/Google account for it to be so. Seems like I tried the same thing when Pete & I played with it years ago. The 4shared site worked at the time.... apparently not so any more though.

Maybe Tracy can host it here on TMC?

ha, could be. Doesn't everyone have a google account nowadays?

I did just try signing out of my account and clicking the link and it seems like it works, so maybe google has caught up?

In any event I won't delete it and the link I posted above will continue to work for the foreseeable future.

I think the Doc is great, how do we nominate that it deserves a spot in the DIY Section?

With a disclaimer of course...

Thanks for the link, that was very helpful! I was about to post a question regarding the frequency of replacing an impeller.

I would like some clarity regarding the 1st question asked, "Use of Anti freeze."

I also live in the south, Atlanta, and my boat will be kept in a garage all winter. However, the Malibu dealership here recommended and charged additional money for use of anti freeze w/ the winterizing process. It sounded more convenient b/c I didn't have to get it de-winterized.

Any advice/comments?

Thanks again for that link to the article! I forwarded it to 4 of my buddies who own boats too
