Dumb question about protocol responding to "comments"

Hey, If someone leaves a message in the "comments" section of my profile, do I answer it right there, or go to their profile??

lol, I'd say it is at your discretion. One thing to keep in mind is if you answer it on your own comment the other user wont know you've answered it until they check back at your page. However, that person should expect such a thing if they leave a question as a comment to begin with.

Personally,

I don't pay any attention to that part of "my profile".

If someone wants to tell me or ask me something, they'll have to PM me to get me to respond.

Unless they leave something neagative, then I'm gassing up my car.

Correct no notification is sent if you reply in your own profile to a comment. The only notifications are via email and PM.

Thanks for the clarification. I think the lesson here is that if you're looking for a response, then PM is the way to go. If you're looking to raz someone (as long as its not Pete), "comments" are effective.
