Carpet Protection

Recommended Posts

After thoroughly cleaning the carpet in my VLX I would like to apply some sort of spray on protection. I noticed that water beads up nicely in the carpeted areas under the seats but in the main area it just soaks in.

I am looking for any suggestions for a water and stain protecting product. I have looked at 3M Scotchguard and 303 High Tech Fabric Guard, but I am not sure if this will work. I cannot find anything that is made for outdoor or marine carpet.

Any help would be much appreciated!

The 3m Scothchguard works great, water will bead for a while ,makes carpet a little bit slick, cleans better though.

Thank you!

I will try the 3m Scotchguard, I just wanted to make sure. 3m's site did not say if it was ok for marine.

use the 303 Fabric Guard, it's better than the scotch guard and it works great on jackets as well..
