Indmar Exhaust Manifold drain for winter

Recommended Posts

My Indmar 350 (carburated) has a hose on the back of the engine connecting both exhaust manifolds. The hose has a quick disconnect fitting on it. For winterizing, (specific to the exhaust manifolds) will draining the water from the hose and filling the manifolds with anti-freeze be good enough or are there extra drain plugs I need to open.

I have a 2002 Malibu Sportster LX.

"Specific to the exhaust manifolds"....yes. Of course, there are other things that need drained. I'm a big advocate of the antifreeze. While draining will protect from freezing, antifreeze will help fight corrosion.
