Swamped Optimas

Recommended Posts

sunsetskier

I have two one year old Optima blue tops that were recently submerged. They seem OK, but I am concerned by what appears to be some sort of vent hole on the top that looks like rough sandpaper.

Does anyone no of these batteries can be submerged and be OK?

Thanks!

Yes they are appear to be working, but batteries are one thing you want confidence in.

I am just concerned what the potenital for damage is.

I will research further myself. Just hoping someone here might know.

Thanks.

Visited the optima site. They claim there blue tops are leak-proof and can be mounted in any configuration.

I also found this photo, which I think answers my concerns.
