I notice that my chrome swivel pylon (08 VTX) on my illusion tower is all pitted. Has anyone tried to to refinish the chrome if so, then how do you remove the bearings? Dontknow.gif

Mine was replaced under warranty.

on my 06 lsv almost everything that was chromed, has been replaced under warranty, and most of it is

starting to pit again,,,,no salt water, almost always under a boat house,,,

the 06 stuff had a very poor q.c. program from malibu's supplier of these parts,

check with your dealer, they know if its a problem again...should be under warranty though if new enough
