Question,My sunsetter will make an occassional pop in the engine compartment, only at full throttle. The popping sounds like a tin can being thumped, not sure what it is.The boat runs fine, doen't miss a beat, but this noise concerns me.I checked t he plugs to see if the ceramic was cracked, nothing.Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Mike.

Did you reconnect the knock sensor after it was winterized?

Never took it off

To be honest,I haven't winterized my boat,I live in Florida, and the boat is garged kept.I use this boat in the winter,we were out this past Feb.,the water was chilly but it was mild outside.

I have the same boat but have not heard anything like you described. Could it be your bilge pump or oil drain line bouncing? Maybe the engine cover lifting and dropping? Have you had it in the shop recently? I once found a wrench in my bilge that a mechanic left behind.

No,it's not in the bilge area,I replaced my bilge earlier this year.I just came back in from the water, had the engine cover up while I was heading to my spot.Just noticed a trickle of water dripping from aruond the risers, need to replace gaskets!!Hopefully this will solve the prob.
