I was wondering if a regular type battery in a marine box was good enough in a boat versus the optima style. Is there enough air circulation under the spotters seat compartment to be able to use a regular battery, without a explosion?

AS well I have a basic battery isolator, is this good enough to ensure the starting battery stays up in charge. It is the heat shrink type, you can find them for about $50 bucks at any auto store. Lastly what amperage and group rating is the alternator on a monsoon?
