Quick release steering wheels

Has anybody used a quick release on their 'bus steering wheel? I never took mine off so not sure how the hub is attached, but I would love to fit one purely for security reasons, as our dock isnt exactly secure.

I think this is something you would use for a racing application, but it would be cool to have :)

Not really, I've had them in all my of my cars. Saved me a few times too. Nobody is going to try and steal a car with no steering wheel. Sure they can bring a replacement, but they still need the adapter and you can get a lock to go over top of them.

Well,

A boat steering wheel is super simple and comes off easily.

I'd say take yours apart and see whats under there. Sounds like you already have experience.

It looks like you've got a 99 response? Are you looking for one?

As far as security goes, I think it'd be way easier to install a hidden fuel pump kill switch than to lug around a steering wheel. Probably only cost $1.00 US in parts. All my cars have one.

Had one up until the end of summer. Sold it when we moved to the lakeless province. Moving back soon as work lets me relocate and then I'll get myself a wakesetter.

Fuel pump switch is an idea.

That is certainly a cool idea. Too bad my boat has a mechanical fuel pump.
