Prop Key

Recommended Posts

I picked up a spare 537 for the bu, but the key it came with is almost twice the length as the one in place. Is it supposed to be cut to fit the keyway or do I need to pick up an exact size? Should there be a groove along both sides of the key or are they just worn in over time.....also I assume the key should fit snug(width way) into the keyway, not all sloppy like my current one Whistling.gif Thanks.

Just cut down the new one to fit the key slot and yes the side groove's are from it being worn.

Plus1.gif It only needs to be about an inch long. They sell the brass in bulk and you cut it to desired length. I have about a foot of it at home. I'm gonna have a lot of spares.
