Anyone replaced their tracking fins?

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that my tracking fins under the boat are not perfectly aligned with the hull. The fins are ok (not bent) they're just pointing slightly to the right. Has anyone had their fins shift on them like this? Is this a simple fix or should it be taken to the dealer? I assume all I need to do is unscrew the fins from the hull under the center ballast, realign the fins, then tighten back down with a new sealant. Not sure what sealant to use though. I'd appreciate any tips people might have...

I'm pretty sure the slight starboard offset is normal. Something to do with helping track true through the course.

I think mine may be about 1/8" up to maybe 1/4" offset (each fin) from the true center line, but you can tell they are offset.
