Swim Platform Cover

I have a Sunscape 21 LSV with a Teak swim platform.

I have the boat in the water all season (pulling her out every three weeks for a cleaning). I have a mooring cover which does not cover the swim platform.

I have heard that a swim platform cover can prevent/slow deterioration of the finish on the platform.

Can anyone comment on this?

Can anyonme recommend a place to purchase an appropriate cover?

That's a good idea but rather than spending a couple bills on it, I would think it would be easy to make one. A piece of your select fabric cut to fit an inch or so below the bottom edge, some elastic, and a sewing machine.....and a wife to do the sewing :)

I would think that if its in the water a cover wont help that much. Mine is on a lift and its still a pain, but when I put it in water for long periods it get bad fast.

Maybe start removing it and putting it in the boat covered. I would be interested in a cover also. I will start looking.

Maybe they have somthing that attaches to the swim handle so the water runs off it.
