Help!: in-line fuel filter

My boat lives at a marina about 100 miles away or I'd just walk right out and check myself.

I need the part number for the in-line fuel filter.

The "Indmar Parts Reference Guide" in the Tech/DIY section calls for part number 556003. Skidim

shows this part number only for "pre-2002," though, and they show another filter for "some Malibus . . .

2002 up." Bakes shows a WIX filter, part number 33299, for year models 2003-2006.

What do I actually need, and where can/should I go to get it? Would an auto parts store carry the WIX,

or something that cross-references with it?

You can take the WIX part number and go to a Napa Auto parts store and they will be able to cross reference to a Napa fuel filter or other brand. Personally, I go with Napa

napa filters are Wix filters, look on the bottom of the box... they are really high quality. i use them too
